In this algorithm, in addition to assigning the tasks and workers to the stations for cycle time minimization, the quantity of each model is determined to have a suitable line to assemble the products. The efficiency of the heuristic algorithm is verified with several test problems and two different rules for worker assignment, which the obtained results showed the algorithm’s efficiency.
